Warm Air Heating Installation in Oxford

The Brief

A commercial unit in Oxford needed reliable, efficient heating across a large open space. The existing arrangement was no longer keeping the building comfortable through the colder months, and the business wanted a system that would warm the whole floor quickly each morning without high running costs. As Powrmatic approved installers, we were asked to design and fit a new warm air heating system suited to the size and layout of the unit.

What We Did

Our work included:

• Site survey and design: We assessed the building, its height, insulation and how the space is used, then specified a warm air system with the right output for the volume of air to be heated.
• Equipment selection: We specified Powrmatic warm air heaters that we know thoroughly, positioned to deliver even heat across the working area.
• Installation at height: Working safely with the appropriate access equipment, we mounted the units and ran the gas supply and flueing to the manufacturer specification and the relevant standards.
• Controls: We fitted timers and thermostats so the heating runs to the building's occupied hours rather than around the clock, keeping running costs down.
• Commissioning and testing: Each appliance was commissioned, combustion and emissions were checked, and the system was tested across full heat cycles to confirm safe, efficient operation.
• Handover and warranty: We showed the team how to operate and set the system, then registered the installation for its manufacturer warranty.

The Result

The unit now warms up quickly and holds a comfortable temperature across the floor, with controls that keep heating to occupied hours. The new system is more efficient than the setup it replaced, and because we install, service and maintain warm air heating, the same team is on hand to keep it running for years to come. The installation is registered for its manufacturer warranty, which covers one year parts and labour followed by a second year for parts.

Job Duration: The installation was carried out over the course of a week, from survey and design through to commissioning and handover, planned around the business to keep disruption to a minimum.
